This role involves providing specialized care on a busy oncology unit, including chemotherapy administration and blood product management. The position is ideal for nurses with at least one year of relevant experience seeking a structured assignment in a hospital setting.
Job Details:
Schedule: Nights shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, requiring a minimum of 36 hours per week, with the assignment starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/04/2027.
Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure in the state of practice, ACLS, BLS certifications, and at least 2 years of nursing experience. Oncology experience is preferred. Candidate must have a current driver's license and a permanent home address matching their identification. Certification in chemotherapy/bio is required within one year of employment for Lutheran employed staff.
Preferred Qualifications: Oncology background is a plus.
Floating: Floating to other units may be required.
Additional Information:
This position is on a 24-bed medical/surgical oncology unit.
Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration and blood product handling.
EMR system used is Cerner.
Scrub color is navy blue.
Attendees must attach all required licenses and certifications with their submission.
Travelers must be located more than 50 miles from the facility. Local candidates are not accepted.
Position involves working on a busy oncology floor, with a focus on patient safety and treatment protocols.
