Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,095 per week in Saint Louis, MO

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience required. License: Pending license accepted. Certifications: ACLS, BLS; BSN preferred. Must-Have: Will need to pass an EKG exam. Description: This role requires a registered nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology. The nurse will work with patients diagnosed with solid tumors, including lung, breast, and pancreatic cancers. Experience in bone marrow transplantation is preferred but not required. The average patient stay is 3-5 days. Nurses will be expected to perform IV starts, administer chemotherapy, provide trach care, and access ports and central lines. Administration of chemotherapy is not required unless the nurse is certified. The unit uses CAD pumps for medication delivery. Staff ratios are approximately 1:4-5, with 1:3 for bone marrow transplant. Weekend shifts are required every other week. Nurses will float within the service line based on facility needs. The facility provides interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy and pharmacy services. Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is essential.
