Registered Nurse (RN) - Chemo Infusion

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse specializing in Chemotherapy Infusion to join our team. This position requires a strong background in oncology and the ability to work effectively with patients undergoing treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Manage and maintain central lines used in the administration of treatment.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families about treatment processes.
• Monitor patient reactions and report any adverse effects or changes in condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of oncology-specific nursing experience required.
• Will accept first-time travelers.
• Current BCLS certification is required.
• ONS Chemo/Bio Card is mandatory.
• Preferred certification: OCN.

Position Details:

• Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 5 patients.
• Shift Type: 8-hour daytime shift from 07:45 to 17:15.
• Potential for 40 hours per week.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• RTO (Request Time Off) is not permitted to be worked out onsite; a maximum of 7 days RTO can be requested for an auto offer.
• No weekend requirements.
• Pre-shift COVID screening is mandatory.
• No call requirements.
• Opportunity to float between multiple locations, approximately 14.1 miles apart.

Equipment and Systems:

• Unit Systems: Pyxis, Epic, Zoom, Microsoft Teams.
• Special Equipment: Ambulatory infusion pumps.
• Mixing technicians and pharmacy will handle all medication mixing.

Additional Information:

• Orientation: 8 hours, varying by skill level; hospital orientation during the first week with daily classes.
• Scrubs are not provided; navy blue scrubs are required.
• All RNs are required to bring their own stethoscope.
