Must-Have:
- Prior med/surg experience, focusing on adult med-surg.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Self-directed with the ability to make quality, independent decisions.
- Analytical and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Competency in the use of various computer hardware and software systems.
Description:
Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as defined by the American Nurses Association (ANA)
Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA
Displays ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, effective communication, collaboration, and leadership
Engages in evidence-based practice, quality evaluation, and resource utilization
Strives to achieve optimal outcomes for patients and families
Provides evidence-based nursing care consistent with the interprofessional plan of care
Communicates and collaborates with other members of the health care team to ensure continuity and coordination of care
Acts as a patient and family advocate
Performs point of care testing as required
Demonstrates a high standard of moral, ethical, and culturally sensitive behavior
Evaluates patient and family educational needs and employs appropriate teaching strategies
Initiates patient discharge planning from the first patient contact
Ensures accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Assumes an autonomous leadership role and appropriately delegates tasks to support personnel
Engages in professional development activities and seeks opportunities to advance knowledge and competence
Participates in ongoing improvement activities contributing to quality patient care
Actively participates in safety initiatives and completes all required safety-related competencies and requirements
Performs other duties as assigned
