Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,135 per week in Dallas, TX

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Bone Marrow Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Nursing License Certifications: ACLS, Chemo Certification Must-Have: Oncology experience. Chemo Certification. ACLS Certification. Description: Must have oncology experience and chemo certification. ACLS and chemo certifications are required to start. Unit has a total of 40 beds with 20 beds on each floor. Patient ratios are dependent on staffing ability. The target is 1:3, with a stretch ratio of 1:4. Unit staffing includes Health Unit Coordinators M-F 7 AM-3 PM and Patient Care Technicians. Type of equipment includes bedside monitors mounted on walls and bedside computers. Lift assist devices are available. Documentation system used is Meditech. Rotating weekends are part of scheduling requirements. Travelers will float first as per floating policy. Patient experience requirements include bedside shift report, safety rounds, and managed team up. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Oncology and progressive care unit level of care experience are required. Excellent assessment skills are needed. The ability to read telemetry and monitor simple titration of drips is preferred. Competency in administering chemotherapy is required. Infrequent procedures performed on unit include bone marrow biopsies. Required uniform is royal blue scrubs. The unit has received multiple accreditations and performs various transplant procedures, including CAR-T therapies. Teamwork is strong, and the unit is welcoming to floats and contract employees.
