Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS Required, OCN Required Must-Have: - 1st timers are accepted - Experience with oncology diagnoses from diagnosis to death - Experience with hematology diagnoses - Knowledge of DNR/CC and oncologic emergencies - Familiarity with chemotherapy precautions - Experience with morphine drips, dilaudid drips, cadd pumps, and PCA pumps - Proficiency in using Epic charting system Description: We are seeking registered nurses with a background in Medical Surgical Oncology. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience. You will care for adult to geriatric patients with oncology and hematology diagnoses. The unit has a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6. The average daily census is around 15 patients in a 19-bed unit. Floating to other units within the facility may be required. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend. You will be expected to work holidays if they fall within the assignment period. Complete compliance is required to start on time. This position requires knowledge and experience in administering chemotherapy and handling related emergencies.
