Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Oncology Registered Nurse to join our team for a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional nursing care to patients with cancer, focusing on their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy and other prescribed treatments as per established protocols.
  • Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions during treatment.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and supportive care options.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families coping with cancer diagnoses.

Qualifications

  • Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in an oncology setting.
  • Current certifications in Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) are required; Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Scheduling and Shift Information

This position will require availability to work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 5:00 PM. Weekend scheduling is not required.

Start Date

The successful candidate will begin work as soon as possible.
