Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,238 per week in Aurora, CO

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience License: Current RN license (CO or Compact) Certifications: BLS, Onc certification preferred (not required) Must-Have: - Oncology skills checklist required - Experience with flexible staffing ratios - Ability to float between units as needed - Previous charge experience Description: The position requires expertise in oncology nursing. Candidates should be comfortable with the administration of chemotherapy and blood products. Experience in managing ports and central lines is essential. The ability to monitor and care for patients with complications such as sepsis and tumor lysis syndrome is necessary. Candidates must have experience with IV administration and be able to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values. Knowledge of palliative care and hospice principles is preferred. Weekend coverage is required based on unit needs. The nursing unit supports a diverse team including various healthcare professionals. The patient-to-nurse ratio will be 1:5 on nights, with flexibility based on staffing needs. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic environment and demonstrate excellent patient care skills.
