Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,246 per week in Columbus, OH

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 16 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical and oncology experience required. Hematology-Oncology experience is strongly preferred. License: Must have a valid nursing license. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification preferred. Must-Have: Current acute care experience within the last 12 months in the specialty area. Experience with computerized charting, specifically with EPIC. Ability to perform tasks related to patient care in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting. Description: The position focuses on the care of patients undergoing Bone Marrow Transplant and Medical Surgical Oncology treatment. You will be expected to manage patients with complex diagnoses including various types of leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other blood disorders. You will administer blood products, monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and provide rapid response as needed. Your responsibilities will also include line management and care for central and peripheral lines. Infection prevention and patient safety protocols will be a significant part of your duties. Interdisciplinary support will be available for patient care. This position requires flexibility for scheduling that may involve days, nights, or a combination of both based on department needs. You must be prepared for potential floating to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units as necessary. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
