Registered Nurse (RN) - Chemo Infusion

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in outpatient chemotherapy infusion. This role will primarily be based in Kennesaw, GA, with occasional floating to various locations within the region as necessary.

Schedule

• Workdays: Monday to Friday, with a variable day off
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
• No weekend shifts required
• No on-call responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy infusions to outpatient clients
• Manage care and monitor patient responses during treatment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Provide education and support to patients and families related to chemotherapy treatment
• Float as necessary between multiple locations, including Kennesaw, and other regional facilities

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Certification by ONS/ONCC is required
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
• Candidate will undergo a clinical review to assess fit for the position

Time Off and Holidays

• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed
• If one major holiday occurs during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it; if two major holidays occur, work is expected for both; and if three major holidays occur, two must be worked.
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Compliance

Full compliance with all employment requirements is necessary to ensure a timely start. Non-compliance may result in a delay due to the orientation schedule.

Additional Information

Local candidates are accepted, and they will receive the same rate. The number of non-billable orientation hours required varies based on the length of the assignment.
