Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current experience in oncology with chemotherapy infusion. License: Current RN license required. Certifications: BLS, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification, NIHSS (can obtain after offer). Must-Have: Chemotherapy and infusion experience. Description: Must have 2 years of current oncology experience. Position requires floating to various infusion centers based on operational needs. The nurse will manage patient care in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy, managing ports, and providing patient education. Candidates should be skilled in phlebotomy and the administration of blood products. Experience with managing side effects and recognizing abnormal lab values is necessary. Registered Nurse will work Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. No nights, weekends, or holiday shifts are required. Travelers may be required to float between multiple locations. RTO requests during major holidays will not be accommodated. This role involves caring for adult and geriatric oncology patients. Candidates may work with patients undergoing various treatments including immunotherapy and hydration therapy. The nurse must comply with floating policies and demonstrate the ability to adapt to new environments. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with patients and their families. The position may require managing emergency situations such as anaphylaxis. A focus on patient support and education throughout treatment is critical. Nurse will participate in the administration of supportive care medications and hydration therapies. Documentation may involve the use of specific electronic health record systems. Successful candidates will contribute to a collaborative healthcare environment. Experience with central lines and IV pumps is preferred.
