Description: The position requires a registered nurse specialized in oncology. Primary responsibilities include working in a lab and injection area. The nurse will perform blood draws from ports and central lines. Excellent assessment skills are needed to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values. The role involves care and management of ports and central lines, including PICC line care. The nurse will administer IM injections and adhere to isolation precautions. Floating to other locations within the service line may be required as needed. This role is in a short-term acute care environment. The facility holds Magnet status and operates as a teaching hospital. Being part of an interdisciplinary team is essential to providing quality patient care. Daily patient interactions will primarily involve adults receiving oncology treatment.
