Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,355 per week in Denver, CO

Job Title: RN - BMT Oncology Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Bone Marrow Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current BMT Oncology hospital acute care experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Minimum 1 year of current BMT Oncology hospital acute care experience BLS & ACLS certification Description: This position involves providing care in a Medical-Surgical/Tele unit. The unit has approximately 80-100 beds and a staff of 37 RNs. Staffing includes 2 charge RNs, 1 resource RN, 2 medical assistants, and 16-19 RNs taking patient assignments. Patient ratios are 1:6, with less when dealing with higher acuity patients. Commonly used equipment includes Baxter IV pumps and ICU medical chemo adapters. The electronic medical record system is Meditech and Onco. Experience with chemotherapy administration and central line draws is required. The ideal candidate is outgoing, personable, and warm. This unit is the 15th largest transplant center in the nation and participates in many phase 1 clinical trials. There is a growing CAR-T program in place.
