The role includes telephone triage and in-clinic support. The majority of duties (90%) will be dedicated to telephone triage, with 10% for in-clinic support of the provider. Candidates are expected to deliver compassionate, multidisciplinary coordinated care for breast patients. Responsibilities include collaborating with the healthcare team and providing education to patients about treatment. The RN will conduct assessments during visits and via phone triage. This role also involves coordinating care for patients, including setting up appointments for imaging, labs, and infusion services. Patient education will be a key component of the role, assisting patients through prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to recognize and manage symptoms related to breast conditions and communicate lab results. Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and side effects management is essential. Candidates should have skills in care coordination and familiarity with the use of charting systems. The RN will work within a multidisciplinary team that includes various specialists. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills to support effective patient management. All candidates must meet strict passing criteria in a telemetry exam prior to starting the position.
