Job Title: Level 2 RN Outpatient Infusion Profession: RN Specialty: Oncology RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5 days Hours per Shift: 8.0 Experience: 2-3 years of recent infusion experience required License: Current, unencumbered NYS RN licensure Certifications: BLS certification from AHA, ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification Must-Have: - Outpatient clinic experience - Experience with Epic EMR and Alaris infusion pumps - Strong IV/vascular access and port access skills - Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and the oncology care team Description: An exciting opportunity to join a community-based oncology practice that is part of a nationally recognized cancer center. This practice includes a physician, advanced practice provider, licensed practical nurse, ambulatory technician, and three registered nurses. The infusion assignment consists of a mixture of hematology, oncology, monoclonal, and non-oncology referral infusions. A typical infusion assignment is for eight patients and involves chemotherapy teaching at the chairside. The maximum daily infusion capacity is 24 patients. The candidate should be able to work independently and manage a full patient assignment with minimal supervision. Strong IV and vascular access skills are essential for this role. The position requires excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the oncology care team.
