Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,467 per week in Independence, MO

The unit consists of 36 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. Staffing includes Clinical Care Coordinators, RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries. Equipment used in the unit includes I-med, I-mobile, vitals machines, glucometers, PCA, wound vac, chest tubes, and surgical drains. Documentation is managed through a specified electronic health record system. Scheduling requires availability for every other weekend. Patients include Med-Surg, Oncology, and Hospice patients. The unit also accepts hemodynamically stable patients requiring cardiac monitoring without interventions. Typical procedures performed include wound vac changes, drain removal, IV/PICC line management, Foley insertion/removal, and NG insertion/removal. Floating may extend to Med-Surg and Telemetry level patients. The required uniform is pewter (gray) for nurses and Caribbean blue for PCTs. Weekend work is required every third weekend.
