The nurse will be responsible for providing care to cancer patients, including administering chemotherapy and managing treatment plans. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of outpatient oncology experience. The role involves working regular day shifts with a 30-minute lunch break. The nurse will work closely with an interdisciplinary team and utilize Epic for charting. No weekend work is required for this position. The nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric populations. The daily patient census will be 21 with potential for floating based on staffing needs. Special procedures and equipment may be utilized in the performance of duties. Candidates should possess strong skills in medication management, patient assessments, and intervention techniques. This position requires a compassionate approach to patient care and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.
