Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,557 per week in Columbus, OH

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Acute Leukemia and Hematology – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights or nights only based on unit needs); variable weekend coverage; staffing ratio goal of 1:4, may extend to 1:5

Highlights:

• Specialized acute leukemia unit serving newly diagnosed patients with a high volume of blood product administration, IV antibiotics, and electrolyte management
• EPIC charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and social services
• Rotating shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on departmental needs
• 72-hour orientation with strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls prevention
• 24-bed medical-surgical oncology unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• One block of pre-approved time off available during contract

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Current inpatient hematology-oncology experience within the last 12 months (required)
• Medical-surgical oncology experience and leukemia/blood dyscrasias experience (required)
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification (required)
• NIHSS certification (preferred)
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, and feeding tube care
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 must be from a manager or director)
