Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,576 per week in Paramus, NJ

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of oncology experience or medical surgical oncology License: New Jersey or Compact RN License Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience (2 years) - Charting system experience - Experience with accessing and managing ports - Administration of blood and blood products - Administration of chemotherapy - Care and management of ports - Central line/implanted line care - Inpatient oncology experience - PICC line care - Starting and maintaining IVs - Basic Arrhythmia Review exam must be passed during orientation Description: This position requires a registered nurse with expertise in medical surgical oncology. The registered nurse will be expected to float to different units as needed. Strong skills in patient management and care are essential. Successful candidates will be proficient in IV skills and blood product administration. Experience with end-of-life care and pain management is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate excellent time management nursing skills. The unit serves adult patients with a daily census of approximately 28. Nurses will implement interdisciplinary support to ensure optimal patient care. Candidates must complete all required pre-employment lab work in a timely manner. Successful completion of all modules and necessary training is required throughout the assignment.
