Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,586 per week in Paramus, NJ

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of Med/Surg Oncology experience License: Current New Jersey or Compact RN License Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Meditech EMR experience preferred - Every other weekend required - Willing to float to other units Description: The position is for a registered nurse specializing in medical surgical oncology. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of Med/Surg Oncology experience. BLS certification is required to start. Meditech EMR experience is preferred but not mandatory. This position requires every other weekend availability. Candidates must be willing to float to other units as needed. Candidates must have the ability to manage and provide care for patients in an oncology setting. Knowledge in administering blood and blood products is required. Skills in starting and maintaining IVs are essential. Administration of chemotherapy is preferred, but not required for this unit. Candidates should demonstrate adequate time management and effective nursing skills. Candidates must pass a Basic Arrhythmia Exam during orientation. A minimum passing score of 80% is necessary. Candidates should possess systematic EKG rhythm interpretation skills. Floating to additional units may be required as necessary. This position involves caring for adult patients primarily. The daily census in the unit is approximately 28 patients.
