Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,586 per week in Paramus, NJ

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of Med/Surg Oncology experience License: Current New Jersey or Compact RN License Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Candidates must pass the Basic Arrhythmia Review exam during orientation. Proficient in systematic EKG rhythm interpretation. Ability to calculate heart rates. Familiarity with identification of atrial, ventricular, junctional, paced rhythms, and heart blocks. Description: We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology. The position involves caring for adult patients in an inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing patients with oncology diagnoses. Candidates should possess skills in managing IVs and administering blood and blood products. Experience in inpatient oncology and care for end-of-life patients is essential. Candidates must float to other units as needed. Every other weekend coverage is required. Basic competencies will include starting and maintaining IVs, accessing and managing ports, and central line care. Candidates must also demonstrate effective time management and pain management nursing skills. Chemotherapy administration experience is not required for this unit.
