Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nurse Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: Varies between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Experience: 2+ years current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion License: New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate Certifications: - CHEMO Certification - Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) - BLS (AHA) - ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Peripheral IV insertion experience - Port/Fistula/Catheter experience - IV Certification (highly preferred) - Epic experience Description: COVID vaccinations are encouraged, but not required. All new and returning agency staff must complete de-escalation training as part of their onboarding and clearance. The Outpatient Infusion Center is dedicated to providing patient care excellence. We offer a comfortable and convenient outpatient setting for those who require frequent infusions of medications. Infusion services are provided by a staff of registered nurses who specialize in intravenous therapy. Available treatments include: - Intravenous (IV) antibiotics - IV antifungal - IV steroids for inflammatory conditions - Blood and blood product transfusions - Maintenance of central venous access devices - Placement of peripherally inserted central venous catheters (PICC lines) - IV immune globulin therapy (IVIG) - Hydration therapy - IV/IM vitamins - Care and maintenance of intrathecal or implanted infusion pumps - Iron infusions - Teaching for self-administration of medications - Therapeutic phlebotomies Specialty medications administered include: - Remicade - Renflexis - Inflectra - Orencia - Simponi - Actemra - Rituxan - Stelara - Tysabri - Ocrevus - Boniva - Reclast - Prolia - Epogen - Procrit - Aranesp - Xolair - Nucala - Fasenra - Entyvio - Radicava Dress code consists of personal scrubs of any color without designs or cartoons.
