Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours (varying between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion License: New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required Certifications: CHEMO, OCN, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Chemo Certification (ONS) - Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) - Peripheral IV insertion experience - Port/Fistula/Catheter experience - IV Certification (preferred) - EPIC Experience Description: COVID vaccinations are encouraged but not required. Effective immediately, all nursing submissions must include a New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate. This license is required in order to staff for temporary needs. Please check the job posting requirements for the 14 panel drug screen. Ensure that your agency can run the entire panel within 24 hours of offer acceptance before proceeding. As of January 1, 2024, all new and returning agency staff must have de-escalation training as part of their onboarding and clearance. Training must be completed from an approved provider. Experience with EPIC is required for this position. Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted. No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted. The Infusion Center is dedicated to providing patient care excellence in a comfortable and convenient outpatient setting. Infusion services are provided by a staff of registered nurses specializing in intravenous therapy. Treatments available include intravenous antibiotics, antifungals, steroids, blood and blood product transfusions, and hydration therapy. Additional services include care and maintenance of central venous access devices and teaching for self-administration of medications. The dress code requires personal scrubs of any color, with no designs or cartoons. It is essential to lift up to 50 lbs as part of the job.
