Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology / Medical Oncology Infusion

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Outpatient Oncology Registered Nurse responsible for providing specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients in a medical oncology infusion clinic setting at Cedars-Sinai Medical Network – CSVOM Med Onc Ventana. The RN will manage chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions, monitor treatment responses, provide symptom management, and deliver patient-centered oncology care.
Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, biotherapy/immunotherapy management, accessing and maintaining implanted ports, central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, IV therapy, infusion pump management, IV hydration, medication administration, and management of treatment-related complications. The RN will monitor patients for chemotherapy side effects, recognize and respond to oncologic emergencies including tumor lysis syndrome, anaphylaxis, extravasation injuries, sepsis, and other infusion-related reactions.
The nurse will provide patient and family education, pain management support, neutropenic precautions, radiation safety awareness, and psychosocial support while collaborating with pharmacy, social services, phlebotomy, interpretation services, and other interdisciplinary teams. Epic documentation experience is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
Minimum 1 year of outpatient oncology nursing experience
Active California RN License (must be active at submission)
Experience in outpatient oncology/infusion settings
Ability to independently manage oncology infusion patients
Experience with chemotherapy and biotherapy administration
Certifications:
BLS (AHA or ARC) – Required
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification – Required
ACLS (AHA or ARC) – Required
OCN Certification – Required
Preferred Experience:
Medical oncology infusion center experience
Hematology/oncology patient care
First-time travelers accepted
Epic electronic medical record experience
Chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusion management
