We’re seeking an experienced Oncology Travel RN to join a leading healthcare facility for an exciting travel assignment. This role is ideal for a compassionate, skilled nurse who is comfortable caring for patients undergoing cancer treatment and working in a fast-paced oncology environment.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult oncology and hematology patients.
Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and other treatments according to facility protocols.
Monitor patients for treatment-related complications and adverse reactions.
Perform assessments, medication administration, and ongoing patient monitoring.
Collaborate with oncologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary care team.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, symptoms, and follow-up care.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
Requirements
Active RN license in the assignment state.
1 year of recent oncology/hematology nursing experience.
Current BLS certification.
Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required.
