Key Responsibilities of the RN - Oncology - Travel- Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer and monitor patient responses to medications
- Direct and guide patient care, teaching, and activities of ancillary personnel
- Utilize nursing process effectively, maintaining accurate patient records
- Provide documentation of patient assessments throughout Hospital admission
- Demonstrate proficiency in the role of charge nurse and Computerized Nursing Informatics
- Participate in unit staff meetings and mandatory programs
- Adhere to safety, blood/body fluid policies, and procedures
- Assess personal learning development needs and maintain professional development documentation
- Represent the hospital in maintaining confidentiality and marketing services provided
Requirements of the RN - Oncology - Travel- Outpatient experience required
- Travel experience required
- ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- Successful passage of CCH's Pharmacology exam
- Demonstrated skills in the education and counseling of oncology patients
