Travel RN – Oncology

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to oncology patients in an inpatient setting during night shift hours
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for oncology patients
- Administer chemotherapy, medications, and treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate changes in condition to the care team promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities in the medical record
Required Qualifications- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or a Compact state
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Oncology nursing
- Current BLS certification required; additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, ONS Chemotherapy) may be required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced inpatient environment
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills specific to oncology patient populations
Preferred Experience / Skills- ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certification preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience in an oncology setting
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
