Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology / Medical Surgical

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical Surgical Oncology unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3–4
- Care for patients with diagnoses including BMT, oncology, GYN oncology surgeries, hospice, and general medical/surgical conditions
- Manage pain medication drips and PCAs; respond appropriately to telemetry and life-threatening cardiac rhythms
- Work alongside CNA support staff and a non-patient-carrying charge nurse present on every shift
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotation schedules as needed to support staffing
- Float to other medical/surgical units or sister facilities as required, with travelers floating first
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of Oncology or BMT experience, OR minimum 2 years of general Medical/Surgical RN experience
- Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to life-threatening cardiac rhythms via telemetry monitoring
- Flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Oncology and/or BMT nursing experience strongly preferred
- Chemotherapy certification preferred; required if candidate will be administering chemotherapy
- Experience with CPAP and high-flow oxygen equipment
