Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology / Post-Op / Telemetry

Bridgeport, WV

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Post-Op, Oncology, and Telemetry unit with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6
• Care for general medical-surgical patients, post-operative patients (including laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendectomy), and oncology patients presenting with complications such as neutropenic precautions, pneumonia, and infections
• Monitor and manage patients with chest tubes, including those discharged with PleurX chest tubes
• Read and interpret telemetry strips using Philips monitors in coordination with the hospital's central monitor technician
• Titrate Heparin drips as indicated; no cardiac drips are utilized on this unit
• Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, and respiratory therapy staff; float to other MedSurg/Telemetry units as needed

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips
• Experience with medical-surgical and/or telemetry patient populations
• Compliance with a 50-mile radius requirement; valid, unexpired driver's license required at submission
• Natural nails only – no artificial or false nails permitted

• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy certification
• Experience with chest tube management, including PleurX chest tubes
• Prior experience caring for oncology patients, including those on neutropenic precautions
• Familiarity with occasional psychiatric patient care, including 1:1 sitter situations

• Work alongside a supportive team that includes 24/7 charge nurse coverage, CNA support on all shifts, and respiratory therapy management of CPAP/BiPAP equipment
• Join a structured unit with clear scheduling expectations, including every-other-weekend requirements and integration into the facility's holiday rotation alongside permanent staff
