Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology / Post-Op / Telemetry

Bridgeport, WV

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Post-Op/Oncology/Telemetry unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6
• Care for general med-surg patients, post-operative patients (laparoscopic procedures), and oncology patients presenting with complications such as neutropenic precautions, pneumonia, and infections
• Monitor and manage patients with chest tubes, including those discharged with PleurX chest tubes
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently using Philips monitors, in coordination with a central monitor tech
• Manage and titrate Heparin drips as indicated; no cardiac drips utilized on this unit
• Participate in weekend rotation (every other weekend, Saturday/Sunday) and holiday rotation alongside permanent staff

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in med-surg, telemetry, or oncology nursing
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips
• Familiarity with chest tube management
• Must adhere to dress code: royal blue scrubs; no false nails permitted

• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy certification is a strong plus
• Experience with PleurX chest tube management highly preferred
• Experience caring for oncology patients requiring neutropenic precautions
• Comfort with occasional psychiatric patients, including 1:1 sitter situations

• Work on a well-supported unit with CNAs on both day and night shifts, a 24/7 charge nurse, and respiratory therapy managing CPAP/BiPAP equipment
• Gain diverse clinical experience across post-operative care, oncology, and telemetry in a collaborative environment
