Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services to chemotherapy patients, including administration of chemotherapy medications and treatments as prescribed by accredited physicians and NPs
• Communicate effectively with chemotherapy physicians, NPs, nurse manager, and co-workers regarding changes in patient clinical condition and policy or procedure updates
• Initiate and maintain the computerized Plan of Care and Standard of Care for assigned patients
• Perform administrative functions including teaching, triage, counseling, supervision, and delegation as appropriate to the role
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient and unit conditions to ensure safe and quality patient care
• Participate in the organization's performance improvement plan and required education programs as applicable to the position

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current RN license in the State of Oregon
• BLS certification
• ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card
• Minimum of one year of acute care or medical/surgical nursing experience
• Evidence of continuing education appropriate for skill level and area of practice

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous oncology nursing experience
• Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) or willingness to obtain within approximately three years of hire
