Registered Nurse – Oncology

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8-Hour Shifts)
Key Responsibilities- Provide telephone triage support for breast medical oncology patients (approximately 90% of role)
- Deliver in-clinic support to providers at dual ambulatory sites (approximately 10% of role)
- Assess and manage patient concerns via phone using oncology-specific clinical judgment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care across clinic locations
- Float to other areas as needed based on staffing requirements
Required Qualifications- Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
- Chemotherapy certification through ONS/ONCC required
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum of two years of acute care or relevant oncology RN experience within the last three years
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
- Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; strict criteria for lethal rhythm identification)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in an oncology clinic setting
- Familiarity with ambulatory oncology workflows and provider support in a clinic environment
