Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology / Outpatient Infusion

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer intravenous therapies including IV antibiotics, antifungals, steroids, blood products, IVIG, iron infusions, and specialty biologic medications
  • Place and maintain Peripherally Inserted Central Venous Catheters (PICC lines) and manage central venous access devices, ports, fistulas, and catheters
  • Provide chemotherapy infusions and monitor patients for adverse reactions in an outpatient oncology setting
  • Perform therapeutic phlebotomies and provide hydration therapy
  • Educate patients on self-administration of medications including biologics and anticoagulants
  • Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health records
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
  • Minimum 2 years of current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion nursing
  • Chemotherapy Certification (ONS/CHEMO Cert) – required
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification – required
  • Peripheral IV insertion experience – required
  • EPIC electronic health records experience – required
  • BLS certification – required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Completed de-escalation training from an approved provider (e.g., Welle, CPI, or PMCS)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • IV Certification – highly preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience – preferred
