Position: RN – Outpatient Oncology (Hardin) SNSNSN
Location: Elizabethtown, KY.
Shift: Days – 5x8s (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) For 40hrs/weeks.
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Duties
• Provide direct outpatient oncology nursing care in a clinic setting
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings per RN scope
• Develop and update individualized patient care plans in coordination with oncology team
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments per protocol
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, side effects, and discharge instructions
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and recognize changes in condition
• Coordinate care with physicians, oncology staff, and interdisciplinary teams
• Facilitate patient flow including admissions, treatments, and discharge planning
• Perform nursing interventions including vitals monitoring, symptom management, and supportive care
• Delegate and supervise appropriate tasks to support staff as needed
• Ensure compliance with oncology safety standards, infection control, and regulatory guidelines
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
