Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend coverage required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a specialized oncology unit serving Hematology, Medical Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), and Gynecologic & Surgical Oncology populations
• Deliver care within a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, including patients in a 7-bed positive pressure wing for BMT and acute leukemia patients
• Assist with and support bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
• Operate unit equipment including Alaris IV pumps (Epic-integrated), barcode medication administration systems, SCD machines, and Alaris feeding pumps
• Float to other units as required per facility policy
• Respond to emergency events as directed by unit management when applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Oncology nursing
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA-issued required)
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility address (as documented on driver's license)
• Current NURSYS report required, dated within 4 weeks of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are also encouraged to apply
