Registered Nurse – Oncology

Location

San Francisco, CA | Outpatient Oncology

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to oncology patients in an outpatient setting
• Perform telephone triage nursing as needed
• Document patient care and clinical information using Epic
• Float to other affiliated facilities within the regional network as operationally required
• Participate in non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submittal)
• BSN required
• AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience
• Minimum 3 years of oncology experience (Med/Surg Oncology preferred)
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Ability to float to other facilities within the regional network
• Any prior employment with any University of California medical facility or acquired facility must be disclosed with full employment history, including dates worked, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submittal; no additional requests will be accepted mid-contract, and time off may not be taken within the first two weeks of the assignment start
• Local candidates are welcome and are considered on the same basis as travel candidates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
• Telephone triage nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years of outpatient oncology experience
