Travel Nurse RN - Oncology in San Francisco, CA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 5x8 Hours (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an outpatient oncology setting, including Medical Oncology and Surgical Oncology
• Perform telephone triage and symptom assessment for oncology patients
• Float to other affiliated facilities as needed based on staffing requirements
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submittal)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 3 years of total RN experience
• Minimum 2 years of Oncology experience in Medical Oncology or Surgical Oncology
• Minimum 1 year of Ambulatory/Outpatient experience
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Experience with telephone triage and symptom assessment
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Local candidates are accepted and are eligible under the same terms as travel candidates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC)
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential
• Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience
