Provide direct patient care in an outpatient infusion setting, administering IV antibiotics, antifungals, steroids, blood products, IVIG, iron infusions, and specialty biologic medications
Perform peripheral IV insertions and manage central venous access devices including PICC lines, ports, fistulas, and catheters
Administer chemotherapy and oncology infusion therapies in accordance with established protocols and certifications
Monitor patients during infusion treatments, assess for adverse reactions, and intervene as clinically appropriate
Provide patient education including teaching for self-administration of medications
Accurately document all patient care activities and interventions using the EPIC electronic health record system
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
Minimum 2 years of current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion nursing
Chemotherapy Certification (ONS) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential
Demonstrated experience with peripheral IV insertion and port/fistula/catheter access and maintenance
Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
Completion of de-escalation training (Welle, CPI, or PMCS) prior to onboarding
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
