GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology Med Surg for a travel nursing job in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Oncology

Job Details:

• Patient ratio of 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends
• Float required within skillset, including potential float to the main New Brunswick campus connected by a pedestrian bridge
• Every other weekend required based on unit needs
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Charting system: EPIC
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted with the application and approved prior to offer
• Block scheduling is not approved
• Required certifications: BLS and Chemo (ONS/ONCC)
• Preferred certifications: ACLS
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Serves patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary
• Key skills include administration of chemotherapy, continuous infusion of chemotherapy, IV push administration of chemotherapy, accessing and managing ports, monitoring chemotherapy, recognizing and managing side effects, body fluid handling post chemotherapy, management and disposal of cytotoxic spills, anaphylaxis response, inpatient oncology, and sepsis management
