Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $1,661 per week in Kyle, TX

Job Title: RN Surgery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Surgery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 11:00 AM - 09:30 PM Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Registered Nurse credentialed from the state nursing board Certifications: Advanced Life Support (to be obtained within 6 months of hire) Must-Have: BLS Provider certification (to be obtained within 1 month of hire) Description: Delivers professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. Performs scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedures. Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition, and managing overall nursing care of patients before, during, and after procedures. Directly assists operating physicians with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure, as well as patient positioning. Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
