Conducts assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities consistently with established guidelines of nursing practice. Provides care for patients post trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities. Meets physical demands of the unit including significant bending, stooping, and lifting. May be required to work varying schedules and shifts according to patient care requirements. Exposed to high-risk situations, such as blood and body fluids. Maintains compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Demonstrates flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
