Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekend Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years License: Current RN License (eligible for licensure in the state) Certifications: BLS from AHA only Must-Have Skills/Experience: 2 years of Level 1 or 2 Trauma experience Scrub and OR Circulator experience Description: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups. Includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation consistent with established guidelines. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities consistent with the mission, values, and service standards. Demonstrates skill in human relations and communications. Demonstrated clinical expertise in the area of responsibility is required. Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time on duty. Lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. Work in a clean, air-conditioned area. Push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
