Description: This position is for a travel RN in the Operating Room. The unit features 8 operating rooms and a staff of 25 members. Staffing consists of Charge RNs, RNs, CSTs, and anesthesia providers. The hours of operation are from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, with night shift on-call teams available. Patient ratios are 1:1, ensuring focused patient care. The unit is equipped with various types of surgical equipment, including Belmont rapid infusion systems. EMR utilized is Meditech. The most sought-after skill set includes travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters. Candidates must maintain the ability to work in multiple service lines. Experience with Meditech, transplant, and spine operations is preferred. Common procedures performed include orthopedic, ENT, urology, spine, general surgery, GYN, endoscopy, plastics, and cardiac surgeries. Teamwork with providers and staff is essential for success in this role. A response time of 30 minutes is required for on-call situations. On-call days will vary, including weekdays and weekends, over an 8-week period. The last scheduled RNs had between 7 to 8 shifts, though this may vary.
