Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $1,997 per week in Miami, FL

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in an acute hospital setting License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must have Meditech experience. Strong experience in ortho, neuro, and robotics. Willingness to float among different OR specialties. Description: The unit consists of 20 rooms with a total of 110 staff members. Staff includes a director, charge RNs, OR coordinators, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and CRNAs. Day shift has 18 teams with 18 RNs and 18 techs. Night shift has 2 teams and 1 on-call team, which is called based on staffing and volume. Patient ratios are set at 1:1. Critical types of equipment used include sterile accessories, circulators, sponges, gowning, gloving, tubing, and cords. Documentation must be completed using the Meditech system. Call requirements include 2 weekend shifts, 4 evening shifts, and 1 overnight shift per month. Robotics procedures performed may include Da Vinci, SP, DV5, Mako, and Stealth. Other procedures include burn cases, cysto fluid management, GI tower systems, endoscopic, laparoscopic equipment, ENT, eye surgeries, and trauma for both pediatric and adult patients. The role requires preparation of the operating room, arranging equipment, and assisting doctors during surgeries. A 30-minute turnaround time is expected. Inspecting, maintaining, decontaminating, and repairing surgical equipment is part of the job. Record keeping of inventory and pre- and post-surgical repairs is required. Dress code includes provided scrubs in a specific color, and personal working shoes. Recognition includes outstanding department/team awards and certifications.
