Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,046 per week in Ada, KS

Shift: Day - 8x5 - 09AM The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) is responsible for the delivery of patient care during surgical procedures. This includes preparing the OR, assisting the surgical team, maintaining a sterile field, and ensuring patient safety throughout the procedure. The OR RN works collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and other nursing staff. Description: Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and protocol. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients. Prepare the operating room and necessary equipment prior to procedures. Act as a circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse during surgical procedures. Monitor the patient’s condition before, during, and after surgery. Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care. Document all aspects of nursing care accurately and in a timely manner. Handle surgical specimens per facility protocols. Advocate for patient safety and well-being at all times. Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN). Licensure: Current and valid RN license. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required (CNOR preferred). Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of OR or perioperative nursing experience preferred.
