The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for maintaining a financially stable unit and promoting personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. The RN is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies educational and professional experiences to deliver quality care and mentor staff. Job Responsibilities: - Performs assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition. - Demonstrates ability to make sound independent decisions. - Initiates, prioritizes, implements, and revises the plan of care as indicated. - Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services. - Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of patients and families. - Monitors and documents response to clinical interventions. - Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient and family needs. - Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel. - Functions as a mentor/preceptor. - Demonstrates and encourages teamwork. - Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement. - Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts. - Complies with regulatory standards. - Participates in a governance model focused on practice improvement.
