Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 06:30 - 17:00 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS from AHA only Must-Have Skills/Experience: 2 years Level 1 or 2 Trauma Experience Scrub and OR Circulator experience Interventional Vascular experience for at least 1 year Competent in conscious sedation Description: Position involves assisting with surgeries in the operating room. The nurse will collaborate with a team of nurses and surgical techs for Endo and Open cases. Utilizes the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice. Demonstrates skill in human relations and communication. Must have demonstrated clinical expertise in the nursing specialty. Physical requirements include standing and walking for most of the duty time. Lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs as necessary. Usually works in a clean, air-conditioned area. Physical demands require the ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Pinching, kneeling, crouching, and crawling are minimal. The environment focuses on providing high-quality care and enhancing patient experiences. Patient satisfaction is a top priority, emphasizing safety and innovation. This position supports various procedures for patients, from outpatient to critical care inpatient.
