Join our dedicated Operating Room team in Corvallis, Oregon, specializing in comprehensive cardiac surgical care. This role involves providing expert nursing care to a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatric to geriatric, undergoing various cardiac surgical and procedural sedation interventions.
As a CVOR Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in the perioperative phase, supporting patients admitted to the hospital or preparing for discharge on the same day. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert circulating nursing care during cardiac surgical procedures.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the perioperative setting.
Ensure patient safety and advocate for patient needs throughout the surgical experience.
Manage and maintain a sterile field, surgical equipment, and supplies.
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Circulating Nurse in the Operating Room OR completion of an approved didactic pre-operative nursing class.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an ICU, PCU, and/or medical/surgical acute care setting.
Minimum of one (1) year of dedicated CVOR/Open Heart experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional ICU experience.
Surgical scrubbing experience.
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in cardiac surgical procedures and perioperative nursing care.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.
Ability to manage complex patient cases and operate specialized surgical equipment.

Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
