Travel Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse to join the Operating Room (OR) team at York Hospital in York, Maine. This 13-week assignment focuses on providing specialized care for orthopedic surgical patients.
The successful candidate will be proficient in both circulating and scrub roles, contributing to a high-quality surgical environment and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive circulating and scrub nurse duties in the Operating Room.
Provide direct patient care to orthopedic surgical patients throughout the perioperative phase.
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain a sterile environment and adhere strictly to all surgical protocols and safety standards.
Assist with patient preparation, intraoperative care, and post-operative handoff procedures.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 5 years of recent, dedicated Operating Room (OR) experience.
Demonstrated strong and specific experience in orthopedic surgical cases, proficient in both circulating and scrub roles.

Shift Details
Hours: 36 hours per week.
Days: Monday to Thursday.
Shift Duration: Four (4) 9-hour shifts, typically 6:45 AM - 4:15 PM.
Call Requirements: Mandatory call required.

Contract Length: 13 weeks.

Licensing Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maine (or compact state license with Maine privileges).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
