Willingness to learn gastrointestinal procedures if not already experienced.
Availability for on-call shifts within staff rotation.
Description:
Surgery department with a total of 4 beds and 6 staff members.
Day shift includes 2 RNs and 2.5 CSTs, with a director overseeing operations.
Patient ratios are maintained at 1:1.
Basic operating room setup with capabilities for general, orthopedic, neuro-spine, and GI procedures.
Utilizes Meditech for electronic medical records.
This role requires a friendly, hardworking team player who is flexible and willing to assist others.
Bilingual candidates are a plus.
Typical procedures include general surgeries and laparoscopic, orthopedic, neuro-spine, and GI procedures.
The unit is experiencing growth and is expanding services with new equipment and instruments.
A robotic surgery system will be introduced soon.
Current staff has extensive experience, with most members serving for over 4 years.
This position requires the traveler to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with existing employees.
